More Reviews…
Although we love writing monitor reviews and wish we could do it more often, we do not currently have relations with the PR firms of all manufacturers (although we are always after new contacts). This restricts us to writing only the occasional monitor review; although we have tested (in some cases briefly) a huge range of PC monitors and are happy for you to ask for advice on any model. We also do extensive external research and have handpicked some websites we feel offer the most comprehensive and straightforward monitor reviews on the internet.
TestFreaks collects a large range of expert and user monitor reviews from across the internet. The website features an intuitive search navigation and ratings system as well as review summaries, videos and images – well worth a look.
CNET.com offers its frank and unbiased opinion on a large range of new monitors. Reviews are often accompanied by benchmark graphs and brief video reviews; which we often feature on our reviews at PC Monitors.
Tech Radar provides a good range of short and forthright monitor reviews, compiled from numerous sources. This is a good place if you’re looking for a quick categorisation of the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ screens, but their own slogan ‘deep into technology’ is not terribly apt.
Xbit Laboratories offers some exceptionally comprehensive reviews and articles brimming with benchmark data and ‘expert’ opinion. This one is certainly worth a visit if you’ve got the time.
TFT Central comprehensively reviews a range of professional-grade displays, such as IPS and PVA panels. If you are interested in PC monitors with accurate colours, either for professional or personal reasons, TFT Central is certainly worth a visit. A number of the IPS/PVA ‘recommended PC Monitors’ in our shop are reviewed in great detail on this website.
We hope you find the above websites useful. We will continue to add our own reviews to PC Monitors in the future, but we are always open to questions on any screens you may be considering.
