PC Monitors shop redesign suggestions

The PC Monitors shop has been undergoing some tweaking here and there over the past few weeks. Current improvements include combining the UK and US monitor shops so that a visitor who visits the monitor shop is directed to content appropriate to their country. We have also received positive feedback about the high-rated monitors widget on the sidebar, so have included that in the monitor shop section as well. The quick poll below is designed so that you, the PC Monitors reader, can give valuable input that will help shape the PC Monitors shop of the future.

We have already implemented the Top 10 monitors section, recommended monitors for each manufacturer on the sidebar (subject to change) and are working on the top 3 recommended monitors for each manufacturer. Thought we’d pull this to the top to let others have their say.

PC Monitors team on holiday

There will be limited (if any) updates to the PC Monitors website over the coming week as the team are on holiday. Website updates will return in full swing on Monday 12th July, including possible updates to the monitor shop based on feedback from this little poll below (which refers to individual manufacturer pages on PC Monitors):

How readable do you find the text on PC Monitors?

The user-friendliness of PC Monitors is very important to us. One of the most important aspects of this is of course how readable the text contained on the website is. There’s no point us blabbing on about great new computer monitors if nobody is able to read the text without straining their eyes.

Edit: Due to the results of this quick poll, we have made the main body text of the website slightly brighter. We kept in mind feedback comments people made such as that they like to view the website at night and find pure white a bit bright – so the text is now a little brighter, but still not quite pure white. Tell us what you think of it.

PC Monitors to be added – but which manufacturer?

NEC computer monitors have just been added to the monitor shop. We are now pondering over which manufacturer to add next, and we have narrowed it down to four further possibilities. We need your help to make the final decision, so please vote on the poll below. If you would like to see PC monitors from more than one of the listed manufacturers, or even from an entirely different monitor manfuacturer; don’t worry, we will be adding more manufacturers to the shop in the future.
